Danger of Not Knowing
It’s human nature to flinch at the unfamiliar.
To label what we don’t understand as wrong, strange, or dangerous.
Because uncertainty feels like a threat and fear loves to fill in the blanks.
But the problem isn’t difference.
The problem is distance.
When we don’t take time to learn, to listen, to lean in… fear becomes the loudest voice in the room.
History shows us this again and again.
Fear builds walls.
Understanding builds bridges.
So when you meet something or someone that challenges what you think you know, try this:
Pause.
Get curious.
Ask instead of assume.
Because once understanding enters the picture, fear starts to fade.
And in its place?
Respect. Connection. Maybe even awe.
