What's sharing?

Sometimes I wonder… what does it really mean to share something?

Is it passing a snack across the table?
Letting someone use your charger?
Saying “you can borrow it” even if you’re not quite ready to let go?

Or is sharing… something deeper?

I think sharing is giving someone a piece of your experience
without asking them to carry it.

It’s saying,
“Here’s what I went through.”
“Here’s what I felt.”
“Here’s the part I usually keep hidden, but today… I trust you enough to see it.”

Not for attention.
Not for applause.
But because maybe, just maybe, someone out there needed to know they’re not alone.

Sometimes we overshare to feel seen.
Sometimes we undershare to feel safe.
Sometimes we say “it’s fine” when it’s not because we don’t know if our story is too much, too messy, or too unfinished.

But maybe sharing isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being real.

So… what’s sharing?

It’s courage.
It’s vulnerability.
It’s connection.

And when it’s done with intention
it’s a bridge between two people who thought they were on different islands.

🧠 Final thought:
Sharing doesn’t have to be loud.
It just has to be true.
