Fear. Pain. Growth.
“Embrace your fear.”
“Pain will not betray you.”
Two lines I used to flinch at.
Now? I hold them like armor.
Fear used to be the enemy.
It showed up as hesitation, overthinking, the tightness in my chest before a big move.
I thought fear meant I wasn’t ready.
But fear isn’t a sign of weakness.
It’s a sign of aliveness.
It means you care. It means something’s on the line.
So now I listen when fear whispers,
“This matters.”
And I walk forward anyway.
And pain?
Pain has never lied to me.
It told me when something was off.
It showed me where I needed to heal.
It dragged me down, yes but it never once betrayed me.
It showed me the truth I was avoiding.
Pain doesn’t break you.
It builds the parts of you that can’t be built any other way.
So no, I don’t run anymore.
I embrace the fear.
I feel the pain.
I keep going.
Because somewhere past the panic and past the ache,
there’s a version of me waiting.
And she’s not afraid anymore.
Final thought:
Growth doesn’t arrive wrapped in comfort.
It knocks with trembling hands and heavy lessons and if you let it in,
it will change everything.
